Job Description

If you are an experienced and high-reaching human resources leader with a desire to help build a world-class and sustainability-focused business, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Lebanon, MO location, the Human Resources Manager role will enjoy an array of duties that will broaden your Human Resource skills and competencies. You will support an inclusive culture that emphasizes the values of safety and continuous improvement.

As a Human Resources Manager, You Will:

  • Lead the Human Resources function, including but not limited to, talent management, learning & development, employee relations and engagement, rewards & recognition and HR operations.

  • Deliver results in first-time situations by inspiring others, working to earn trust every day and consistently demonstrating the highest degree of integrity and ethical conduct.

  • Administer and oversee compensation, benefits and leave processes.

  • Interpret and apply HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency while providing solutions that balance business and employee needs in compliance with company policy.

  • Develop and implement learning and development activities that support the business strategy and site-level needs.

  • Promote and foster a healthy working environment; raising awareness to available programs that support and assist employees.

  • Aim to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of HR service delivery.

  • Collaborate with, and actively participate and contribute to, the Copeland enterprise Human Resources initiatives.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required, with HR related major preferred, plus a minimum of five (5) years of related experience

  • Experience leading a team of HR professionals

  • Required knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws and governmental compliance requirements

  • Experience in completing HR processes, including salary planning, discipline, policy administration, ethics investigations and employee engagement initiatives

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively connect with senior leaders, internal customers, and the community

  • Ability to produce quality results in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems

  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Related Master’s or MBA

  • Ten (10) plus years of related experience

  • Experience with organizational change and implementation of new HR systems & processes

  • Copeland HR experience

  • Open to relocation in the future for career growth and development

  • HRCI or SHRM certification preferred

  • Experience in an industrial / manufacturing multi-location, global company

About Our Location

Our plant in Lebanon, MO is Copeland’s flagship operation for scroll compressor assembly and a machining powerhouse for main bearing housings and scroll elements, with over 60 million scroll compressors produced in the past 27 years.
